Flow Boxing is based on five heart rate training zones. Each class uses a variety of conditioning strategies including High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), High Intensity Steady State (HISS) Training, Low Intensity Interval Training (LIIT) and Low Intensity Steady State (LISS) Training. The biggest difference? This class uses a boxing practice called Shadow Boxing which is non-contact and low impact. We also focus on Heart Rate Recovery using specific breathing practices to improve Stress Management, Mind-Body Connection and overall Mind-Body Health.

Breath Work

Breath work is multi-dimensional, influencing how you move, the transfer of oxygen and carbon dioxide for energy, and your mind state. The class begins with breath work to energize your body, center your mind from outside distractions, and prepare you physically and mentally for the boxing portion of the class.
FLEXIBILITY

Flexibility and mobility exercises calm and prepare your body in the same way breath work and meditation calm and prepare your mind. Each class focuses on restoring movement to the areas of your body that are meant to be most mobile: Feet, Ankles, Hips, Shoulders and Neck. The most confident and skillful boxers are the most relaxed in the ring!

The art and science of boxing goes far beyond fast hands and knockout punches. In this class you’ll learn the foundational skills of throwing punches and footwork, you’ll learn how to control your energy with a focus on how you breathe using a non-contact practice called Shadow Boxing. Workouts are both cardio and body weight strength focused, smartly designed to be low impact and improve stress management, heart rate recovery and mind-body connection for a stronger more resilient YOU!
